Future Cars (part 2)
Next on the list of Future cars is one you might have heard of before. It is the BMW i8. Now it might look like this thing just came out of tron, but it's the real deal. The i8 is a part of a brand of BMW's that was created to commercialize low emission cars. The i8 is BMW's first plug-in hybrid. And it's another environmentally friendly sports car that some hippies just can't afford.

The exterior of the i8 is an organic design complete with laser lights...yes, you just read laser lights. The laser lights aren't just a design feature though, they are also a  part of BMW's vehicle light technology. These laser lights are proven to be more effective then your old fashioned LED lights and are also 10 times smaller. Now why is smaller lights better? Who knows, it's a feature. The doors swing open butterfly style making you look like James Bond every time you enter your car.
The organic shape of the car combined with it's dynamic design makes it one easy to drive car that can handle anything. And that's just the outside, the interior of the i8 is as futuristic as its exterior.
It features state of the art technology emerging the driver in his own environment, these features include a built in GPS, telephone, vehicle info, Connected Drive, kilometres per hour, and more.

The i8 combines two different drive systems, an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, these can be used separably or together. The i8 can go from 0 to 100km/h in under 5 seconds making it one fantastic sports car.

Future Cars (part 1)

Today in Digital LIFE we're talking about the cars of tomorrow. First up on the list is the Honda FC Future Sport's Car.

This bad boy was first presented at the 2008 LOS ANGELES Auto Show. A hydrogen powered, 3 seat sports car with a light weight ultra aerodynamic design. It shows Honda's V-fuel cell technology, which for the noobies out there means that it's environmentally friendly. It's also got two twin fuel storage tanks at the rear. And it's not just pretty from the outside, the interior of the car is designed to make the driver feel like he's driving a sport's car, and he should considering this baby can go as fast as some of today's fastest cars.

"Imagine beating your best lap time while hearing nothing but the tires rubbing the tarmac and the quiet buzz of the high-torque electric motors. Picture a true no-holds-barred supercar with all the speed, handling and sleek looks of today's fastest sports cars , yet without the noise, heat, vibration and emissions of the internal-combustion engine"
                                                                                           -says Honda

Now don't go running up to your nearest Honda stores, trying to buy one of these. This is only a design study model, but their's a big chance we'll be seeing one of these on our roads pretty soon.

Sixth-Sense Technology

Pranav Mistry had a dream of merging the digital world with the physical and so he created Sixth-Sense. This device is an Iphone in your hands, you can take pictures in mid-air by just making a sign with your fingers, you can turn your hand into a phone or turn your average newspaper into a T.V broadcast. And what I personally love about it is that it's not just another piece of hi-tech. Our society is consumed into technology and we begin to ignore that their's a world outside of our computer desktop. Sixth-Sense takes your digital life and involves it with reality without having you consumed into it. Imagine you're shopping for some paper towels, and you pick up an average Bounty roll. The Sixth-Sense will recognize that Bounty roll and can automatically compare it with other products. But don't get too excited yet, the Sixth-Sense is not for sale yet, and you'll have to wait. Below Pranav Mistry further explains the capabilities of Sixth-Sense Technology.
